Ginger Slice

150grams Butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cup finely chopped crystallised ginger
icing
50g butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon ginger

Melt butter in a saucepan large enough to mix all ingredients. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Sift flour, baking powder and ginger into saucepan. Mix until combined. Press into 20cm square tin. Bake at 180 c for 20 minutes or until lightly golden. ice when warm and cut into squares, sprinkle with ginger crystals if desired.

Ginger Icing
Melt butter and golden syrup. Mix in icing sugar and ginger until well combined.

Its very tasty!! not to gingerish and not to crunchy haha just right!!
