This is Devons third week at care, and my gosh is he ever so eager to dash out the door with out saying bye to mum :( Poor boy has a terrible rash on his wee bum have been putting cream on and all day bare bum but no such luck, so off to the doctors we go....
This morning Devon is attending playgroup with his carer and 2 other littlies, last time he came home "painted" was very cute! and all he wanted to do was go home to his bed, which by the way now is a "bed" he can freely get in and out which he is loving and makes morning get ups alot easier for me not having to lift him out. The first night he slept in there we woke to a thud, Devon was curled up bum in air sleeping on the carpet, Had a wee chuckle then put him back to bed...woke again round 9am.

Have my 3rd midwife appointment tomorrow! very exciting as we are talking over eating plans so i can finally pop in the what exercise can i do?? hehe feeling rather slugish so something like yoga should help me...I hope :D

Oh and I am now 17 weeks, yay!! still bleeding though but feeling alot of movement from the wee dot.

Yay I have finally got to 14 weeks! after a scary bleed almost 2 weeks ago now its nice to know baby is doing well . I have chosen a midwife Maggie Banks, very exciting about this as Maggie is home birth only and 100% supports VBAC, so I have a lot of soul searching and reading to do over the next 6 months, totally stoked that I am getting a chance to have the natural birth I wanted with Devon and no Drs will be around to poke n prod me and say Im not doing it right.

Devon is really loving going to care at Heathers, he comes home everyday ready to crash out, yesterday Devon went along to hiphoppers which I think is a dance group for little kids, well needless to say Devon came home and went straight to bed, actually I lie he had his favourite ricies then went to bed. Thats another laugh though Devon and his ricies!! he just cant get enough of them, this boy sure can eat and its nice knowing he is happy to eat most things.

Still no camera so no photos to update with, which is rather depressing!! ah well will have one in no time...I promise :D

Christmas Holiday at Mums

well its been a while since I have posted on here, forgot my password lol.

we had an amazing Christmas with mum in Aussie! although Ross didn't join us, we had a really neat time splashing in the pool hanging out with Megan, visiting the Alma Park Zoo, having friends and family present at mums for Christmas. Oh cant forget peaches the bird devon loved trying to kiss her hehe.

Christmas day consisted of mum working till lunch time, opening presents with Ians 2 girls Megan-Claire and Renee of course Dylan and megan fighting over the setup of the girls new WII console (very funny) then a very lovely lunch Ham on the bone salads and yummy desserts, my contribution was a roast vege salad mmm and berry triffle! Devon got some cool swimming gear which he wore alll day! Ross and I got a funky digital photo frame (yet to be assembled)

We went to the zoo day after boxing day, was alot of fun. Devon walked the whole zoo, did start in the patapum but decided he couldnt see enough! had to peer over ledges etc, we got to get close to kangaroos one had her little joey in her pouch (little creepy but cute too) Devon loved the little chickens we were watching them for a good hour! Poppy Ian thought hed spoil Devon and buy him a koala and a sticky frog. The evening was just followed by relaxing.

We had a neat time at mums was perfect amount of time to spend, bit of a bummer Mum had to work most of it but thats ok :) heres a few photos of our little holiday

well...I have been hoping I might get my camera going and update with some beach photos from the weekend but no! so heres a few from my friend lauras phone camera, he wasnt so sure of the sand just stod there looking uneasy about the sand between his toes, but once he played around a bit with his friend dom he was fine, chucking the sand everywhere! he even got to have a swim with dad in the waves, Devons going to love the beach near mums house...cant wait!

Ginger Slice

150grams Butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cup finely chopped crystallised ginger
icing
50g butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon ginger

Melt butter in a saucepan large enough to mix all ingredients. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Sift flour, baking powder and ginger into saucepan. Mix until combined. Press into 20cm square tin. Bake at 180 c for 20 minutes or until lightly golden. ice when warm and cut into squares, sprinkle with ginger crystals if desired.

Ginger Icing
Melt butter and golden syrup. Mix in icing sugar and ginger until well combined.

Its very tasty!! not to gingerish and not to crunchy haha just right!!

sleepy times

aww look who I found sleeping in his cot, he actually co-operates with bed time now. soo cute as soon as I say nigh nights he put his head down on the ground and his bum up than goes to his room and asks for teddy. Love my little boy!




after waking up he thought itd be funny to run up and down his cot and dive around like a maniac...thats Devon :D
